The Field Guide to Witches: An artist’s grimoire of 20 witches and their worlds■ — that's the title of the book issued recently by 3dtotal, where I participated as one of 20 artists and authors. 🧙♀️
My point of interest was the horrible and dangerous witch from rural Leicestershire's Dane Hills, a large area to the west of the English city of Leicester. Living in the sandstone cave near old giant oak, she hunts people or steals children to eat them. No one can tell if she's a human being or not, does she has a human mind. She's said also to can change her appearance.
⠀
Along with 20 other amazing artists from worldwide, I was a kinda explorer or researcher of the witch I chose: we collected tales and legends, rumors and local's data about her, learned her habits, and imagined what if we had direct contact or were side observers.
⠀
🎃 Now the book's available now for pre-order. Shipping starts in November.
